Good afternoon blog lover. I’m kicking back with a peppermint tea and reflecting on a great weekend. I headed back to Glastonbury on Friday for the Pilton Party, which is an annual event put on by Michael Eavis to say thank you to the locals and staff that helped out back in June. It’s on the same site but in just the one field, complete with bar, food stalls and the infamous Glastonbury portaloos (which managed to get in a right old state within a couple of hours-how does that happen?).
Great to be back to one of my favourite places on earth, complete with a lively set from Paolo Nutini and stumbling across Mr.Eavis himself, enjoying the fish n’ chip stall. I tried to get some gossip on next years act but his face was evidently full of fried potato, so I’m guessing Rolf Harris.
The night was completed by an overnight stay at a mate’s house in Bristol, who happened to be a collector of Banksy orginals. I tried to smuggle one home in my bag but it was too big; as is the estimated value of his work. Again, I refer back to Rolf Harris for real art.
Anyways, thanks for dropping by and we’ll speak soon x
